Where is my polling location?

All City of Westbrook voters use  a single polling location, the Westbrook Community Center located at 426 Bridge St. in Westbrook.

What time are the polls open?

For all elections, the polling location is open from 6:00am-8:00pm

What is being voted on?

The City of Westbrook will be holding two (2) elections on this date. The municipal general election & the state referendum election. A content overview is included below:

Municipal Ballot(s)

  • Mayor
  • City Council, At Large
  • City Council, Ward 1
  • City Council, Ward 2
  • City Council, Ward 5
  • School Committee, At Large
  • School Committee, Ward 3
  • School Committee, Ward 4

State Ballot

  • Question 1: “Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
  • Question 2: “Do you want to allow courts to temporarily prohibit a person from having dangerous weapons if law enforcement, family, or household members show that the person poses a significant danger of causing physical injury to themselves or others?”

How do I register to vote?

To register to vote in the City of Westbrook, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be a citizen of the United States
  • You must be a resident of the City of Westbrook
  • You must be 18 years of age. A 17 year-old may register to vote and may participate in a primary election or municipal caucus if they will be 18 by the date of the General Election. A 16 year-old may pre-register to vote, but may not participate in any election.

You may register to vote in person at City Hall, by mail or at the polls on Election Day. You may be asked to provide proof of identity (such as your Maine Driver's License, State ID or the last four digits of our Social Security Number) and/or proof of your Westbrook residency (such as your Maine Driver's License showing your current Westbrook address, or a utility bill) to complete your voter registration record.
